You BIG TIRE BASTARDS

Depending on the tire, the 37's aren't that much bigger than some 35's. My 37in Toyo's are heavy as shit though. I ran Cooper 35in stt's . Kinda wish I woulda stuck with the Coopers and got 37's in them. They rode better and are lighter. The Toyo's are tough though, the Coopers chunk in rocks because they're soft. I didn't blow mine in Moab, only got to wheel it one day there though. The first wheelin with the 37's on my d30, I was on muddy trails and hammered it, figured if it was gonna blow, I'd go ahead and do it. I took it really easy in the rocks of Moab though, I had to be able to drive 1500 miles back . Not the smartest thing to run 37's on a d-30, and if you wheel EVERY weekend, I wouldn't suggest it, but now I'm lucky if I get to go once a month or every other month. 37's can be done on a d-30, just gotta be careful. The extra clearance makes all the difference in the world. You tend to have to push 35's harder than 37's, so I think it evens out.

You BIG TIRE BASTARDS have finally beat me down. I'm nixing my 33" KM2s in favor of a set of new MTR-Ks in 35x12.50R17. Happy?
To go along with the new rubber, Northridge is sending me a set of RCV axles, Pro Steer ball joints, and EVO sleeves; I've already got miniskids and gussets, so the additional hardware should make my Dana 30 more than strong enough to stand up to the 35s, particularly given my driving style (slow, deliberate).
BIG TIRE BASTARDS can gloat, you've finally won me over.
