I've had both
This is Jeep #4 for me. I had a YJ, 2 TJ's and now a JKU and I've loved them all. This time around I needed something that could function for a family so the 4 door works out great. I think it all depends on what your needs at any point in time.

As someone waiting to buy a 2012, I have been torn on the whole 2 vs 4 door thing.
You different POVs have made my decision to go 4 door easier.
This is coming from a guy who has had 2 TJs in the past 11 years.
