not true. i have driven the 4dr both on and offroad. happily got out of it and went back to my 2dr just about as fast as i could get there.

I am surprised at the pole though, I expected it to be far more heavily lopsided in favor of the 4dr.
A lot of people wouldnt be in a Wrangler had they not made the 4dr. It opened up a whole new market and expanded everything. This forum, the aftemarket, etc. I see the need and use of the 4dr and how for some people it fills a need very well.
I just dont care for the 4dr for myself though. I dont need or want it, the same as I dont need or want a Rubicon. I simply dont need either, they fill no void for me or how I use my jeep. To each thier own and I am very glad people are happy with them, it just doesnt do it for me.

had a real jeep once a 2010 2 dr 6spd soft top and manual windows and lock
wife would not drive it so now its a mangotango 4dr auto w/door locks,power windows steering wheel controls ,hard top she loves it and now calls it her jeep and HER lincoln p/u and my only car is 73 dodge polara stored in my moms basement 50 miles away and driven about once a year

I already stated I had a 4dr... I really like the 2dr and was VERY close to buying one. When the 4dr first came out they really caught my eye. The overall purchasing factor was going from a full sized truck to a 2dr, would have been a tough adjustment for me. I like having the extra room to lay my fishing poles down and storing my tackle/camping gear. I can still strap my 7' 11" pond boat on top after I take the top down....
