I have the 2 door, but I have a "spare" set of tube doors for when the weather gets tube door friendly. I can only use two at a time, so technically it's a 2 door, and that's how I like 'em.
Although, if you count the rear gate, it could be considered a 5 door!!!

I have a 4 door now but I've owned two 2 doors in the past. The 4 door just works better for me now and I absolutely love it. I'm also always amazed how much I can fit in it when I put the rear seats down!

Really? So considering that every Jeep MJ/CJ/Wrangler (not including one-off custom/special order builds/other non-Wrangler wagons or SUVs carrying a Jeep badge) prior to the introduction of the comparatively recent JK Unlimited has only 2-doors/door openings, then I would say that 65 years of 2-door Jeeps prior to the JK Unlimited would suggest that the 2-doors are the "real" Jeeps...
One thing in common with todays (non-Unlimited) Wranglers and MJ Jeeps built during WW2 that sets them aside from all other 4X4s & SUVs currently on sale are: solid axles front & rear, part-time manual transfer case with low range, convertible roof, fold-down windshield, compact size, removable doors and finally, 2 door openings.

hook, line, and sinker...
