The bite of paying-up for a Rubi will only hurt once, but getting an X and then regretting it may be often.

You've already got Mod-a-holic symptoms so get a JK pronto !!!!

I bought a X back in 07 not very pleased with the performance. I sold it and bought a rubi and I am loving every minute of it. Lockers and e disco are awesome plus the 4 to 1 low t-case

is that an FJ i see in your Avatar? i was tossed between the Jeep and the FJ and i wound up buying the jeep....a local LI dealer gave me what i felt was a klller deal on the Jeep so Jeep it was.....

my opinion is that if you are going to mod it to be a Rubi then buy a Rubi.....

A guy I'm friends with who has a built Defender 90 and 15 years experience in Moab tells me time and time again, trail driving is about 80% driver, 20% equipment.

If I could have come up with the extra $$$ for a Rubicon I would have gotten one. I don't plan on doing much modding to my X ... so if I had a Rubicon already I would be way ahead of the game. My problem is that when I was out Jeep shopping in April ... no local dealers even had a 6-speed 2-door Rubicons in a color I like (Blue, Orange or Yellow) ... so it wouldn't have mattered anyway.

80% driving 20% equipment......

Well maybe on the rocks on a +2 trail yes.......but the stuff I've crawled over in my Rubicon is more 75% equipment and 25% driving.......

The Rubicon is well worth the extra $$$ in the long run.....
