Default Wrangler Xplore versions

Nice looking ride, but I cannot imagine paying $57,000 for a Wrangler without a Hemi or some serious long-arm suspension and additional gear.

I'm 6 months into my 2012 JKU build and all-up I am at probably $36,000 with maybe $6,000 more to go to get where I want it to be ($42,000 all-in). I have a Sahara and not a Rubicon, but I am wondering where the other $15,000 premium Chrysler is charging is for?

And mine will be way more capable than their version.

The $36k I was quoting was with my current mods. I got my Sahara for 31. I've put almost 5k in "stuff" so far.

The Xplore version looks nice but it seems to mostly be an appearance package w/ the matte paint and the logos. The article notes the stock wheel size as 16" so evidently the Xplore doesn't start as a Rubicon so it has the non-Rubicon transfer case and axles (?)
If that's the case that's a major fail at $57k; definately not worth it.

It seems the "xplore" edition is designed for those who want to feel like they got something special "right out of the box" by paying extra money. If you can afford it and it's your thing, more power to you...

But it's got a 2" Mopar lift, yo!

$56k? What a joke.
