Wrangler listed as a must drive before you die
http://autos.ca.msn.com/photos/galle...2288651&page=9
No article, but a list of the top 10 cars to drive before you die. OK - none of us refer to our jeeps as cars but I think we know the intent.
Interesting list anyhow.
From the writeup -
And now for a change of pace ... from speed and balance to this sure-footed mountain goat. We recommend that at least once in your life, you hop in a Jeep Wrangler with the Rubicon package (any generation will do, really, so long as it has big knobby tires), take the top off, take the doors off - heck, even take the windscreen off - and take it to the roughest, rockiest, rowdiest off-roading trail you can find and beat the snot out of it. After all, there is more to life than speed.
Note: Never off-road alone -- bring an experienced buddy with a bigger truck and a winch -- it's not off-roading if you don't get stuck.
Here's the list for those who don't want to click through a slideshow:
1. Ford Mustang Convertible
2. Corvette
3. Ferrari F430 Spyder
4. Mazda MX-5
5. Porsche 911
6. Mini Cooper (new one)
7. BMW M3
8. VW Golf GTI
9. Jeep Wrangler
10. Rolls Royce Phantom

Here's my go at it..
1. Ford Mustang Convertible: I learned to drive stick on a new at the time 99 Cobra. Def. fun!
2. Corvette: Rode in a C5 z06. I have yet to drive the new one.
3. Ferrari F430 Spyder: I haven't even seen one of these in person yet.
4. Mazda MX-5: fun cars! Would never buy one.
5. Porsche 911: Never driven one, will need to soon.
6. Mini Cooper (new one): I rode in one of these plenty of times, it's like a go kart.
7. BMW M3: I own an e46 m3 convertible. It rocks!
8. VW Golf GTI: lol they're fun and peppy, really nothing special. I suppose an r32 might be decent.
9. Jeep Wrangler: Just bought a Rubi, pretty cool.
10. Rolls Royce Phantom: Too rich for my blood, but seriously 300k for one of these? I dno.
