I have seen dealers trying to sell 2011 Rubi's for the same price as the 2012 Sport which I personally think would be a tougher call than this... 2011 rubi w/ add ons (grey wheels, tail light guards and fuel door cover) vs 2012 Rubi... take the 2012 every day of the week

That dealer is probably praying you take the 2011... they have to be desperate to move them right now

Seriously !!!!! How could you even think of a 2011..........The dealer has stock that needs to go out. Get the 2012even if it's a sport , the engine , tranny everything is worth it.

I saw a dealer trying to sell a 10 2dr hardtop rubi for 30k. I just ordered a 12 2dr hardtop rubi for 31k. It is amazing how these Jeeps hold value.

Too expensive. Base Rubis in Canada are 35K after. 3K cashback.

So the reason i thought it was a good deal is because base rubis are 35k after 3k cash back. 2011 CoD is 31K no cash back. Finance on a 2012 is 3% while it is 5.9 on 2011. So in the end (5 years) the difference is +2K for 2012. I am also pissed cause I just added stuff to my 2007 Sahara. Which I bought used in Feb 2012. Not sure I was a jeep guy back then. Lol.

I wouldn't even consider the 2011. All the COD edition has is a sticker package that they charged like $700 USD for. The '12's improvements are across the board well worth the extra $2k over the next couple of years. The more miles I've put on my '12, the more the engine seems to wake up.

You do realise the COD edition has no lockers, 4:1 Tcase, front D44, or E-Swaybar disco? Instead it has stickers for a video game. If this meant anything to you, you wouldn't even be asking this question... so my question is, why are you even looking at a Rubicon when you're comparing it to a 2011 COD? Why not look at a 2012 Sahara VS the 2011 COD? Either way it's a no brainer... there is absolutely no reason to get the 2011. None.

The additions you had on your 2007 were minimal and you won't even notice them missing when you're driving a 2012.

Edit: Just my clearly incredibly humble opinion.

Not sure if you are from USA but the Canadian CoD is based off the Rubicon. rubicon with Stickers. Lol. So it has all the stuff you mentionned. That being said i am no longer considering the 2011. Unless dealer drops price by a few more thousand dollars. The 2011 engine is not that bad, i mean so many people drive them and love them.
