If you were buying a new 4-door JK would you rather...

Buy a Rubicon and have enough fun money to buy new tires ($1-1.5K)

- or -

Buy a Sport and have $3-5K to spend on a lift, wheels, tires, etc.

And what would you spend the upgrade money on?

All depends on what your intentions will be for it, and how you plan on wheeling it. For me its my DD so I do not get too crazy off road. I went with the X with lift and tires. If I had the Rubi, I'd only wheel it harder and break it faster $$$.

A sport.

You can build a rig with more reliable lockers and swaybar disco's and add tires and a small lift with what's left over.

You should help them out and get rid of all that complicated off-road equipment for them. Who needs that stuff anyway? You'd be doing them a favor. After all they could accidentally hit the button and disengage the sway bar and that is DANGEROUS!

Get the SAHARA

It provides the Sub in the back, nice seats, all the luxary stuff the rubi has minus the lockers,4:10 gears, Auto sway bar discos(unless you get an 07 with the tow package).

And if your anything like the rest of us JKers, your going to end up dumping your stock suspension, 32" BFG M/T tires for 35's. And you want to make your jeep your own you know? I say the Rubi is fine for people who want to keep it stock. But if you plan on doing a lift and what not get the SAHARA

What benefit is there to getting a Sahara over a Rubi? None I can think of, you have superior suspension, tires, front axle and sway bar disconnects right out of the box, oh yea and not to mention the fact that its a Rubicon! The Sahara wheels look like crap as well and you'll have a spare set of nice tires with the Rubi if ya keep em or ya could get a few hundred bucks for em on craigslist.
