Would You Buy
A local advance auto is closing in my area and I just stocked up on oil, filters and cleaning supplies....it was all 75% off. The question I have is this...I need a torque wrench for the jk and have always been a fan of craftsman. They had 2 wrenchs both made by performance one was 50 bucks and torqued from 30-250 ftlbs the other was 30 buck and was from 10-150. Both are 40% off the price I just gave you. If you were me would you buy one of these are spend a little more and get name brand. This wrench will only be used to torque suspension on the jk.

I love my craftsman digital Torque Wrench, I keep it calibrated and clean in its case at all times, but I did break down and buy one of those cheap PowerBuilt ones to keep in the jeep. I wouldnt use it for engine or tranny work, but it is nice to have on the trail to re-torque suspension compnents and such. I say get them both!!!

Go for it! I use torque wrenches infrequently and have been loath to spend a lot of $$ to get a set. Getting in the ballpark of the correct torque is good enough. Does not need to be exact. Craftsman is better but too expensive. You will not regret it.

One thing I learned the hard way about Craftsman, not all of their tools are covered for free replacement if broken.
I have both a Craftsman torque wrench (ratchet style) and the other with the needle and meter. I paid about $70 for the nice ratchet one and broke the adjustable handle putting a bumper back on one of my older jeeps--that one is not covered, but the cheap $20 needle / meter one is.
Since then, I'm not too devoted to Craftsman, and would definitely consider the deals you're looking at.
