Would you buy THIS 4-door JK Truck? How much would the modification be worth?

OK, my photoshop skills suck and it is ugly. Someone come up with something that looks good that people will buy, but it has to be based on the current JK Unlimited platform. I have a fabricator who is interested in the idea.

I think its a good concept but I dont think it would make it. Look at the H3 truck. I dont see to many on the road. I like the tire in the back on a carrier, but it sucks if you actually want to use it as truck. They need to just start making the Comanche again if they want a truck.

I think it's been said before - Chrysler has a full line-up of pretty successful trucks in the Dodge Ram series. Why would they make the JK into a truck and dilute the lineup?

Because there is a market for people who need a truck but don't want a full-sized truck. There are potential sales here = Toyota sells many Tacomas, Nissan's Fronteir, Chevy Colorado/Canyon, even Mitsu and Suzuki sell a mid-size truck. Ford has discontinued the Ranger, Dodge doesnt make the Dakota anymore and those people will still need a small truck. I myself drive a Tacoma, and would love to have a Gladiator. (Not an SUT)

I dig it. It would be great for hunting. Put you junk in the back - quick easy access. Carry some firewood. Dead animals. I think it would be more usefull then the standard jku.

I like the idea of a 2 or 4 door Scrambler style JK. However, the rear wheel placement of your design makes the rear "bed" problematic. Notice that the "bed" is almost entirely aft of the rear axle, so any load will lift the front end. I doubt you could even rate the capacity of your concept more than 200 lb. The same is true of tongue weight for towing. The JK, and the JKU wheelbases don't really accomodate a pickup configuration without major cab modifications. But keep trying! There's a nugget in there somewhere.
