Default Would this have caused any damage? I drove with the trackbar out

Just curious if i should be checking things for damage.

I drove about 1 mile, at 10-15 mph through neighborhood without the trackbar basically. I forgot i did not have my jack at home, and had to drive 1 mile to get it. After i had already taken the bolts out... stupid me.

Drives fine now that everything is aligned, but the entire 10mph drive the ESP was FREAKING out. I did have to fight against it a bit to make the trip. (mostly on turns)

Did i possibly do damage to welds or something somewhere? Or is it nothing to worry about. 4,000 miles on the JK i would hate to have done something damaging. If i broke a weld or damaged it i would probably cry.

Why didn't you just put it back in for the drive?

Wouldn't fit back in without a jack.

Should I basically just look over anything that the axle connects to for cracks/damage?

Check all your control arms - they'd be taking up the lateral movement that the trackbar would have otherwise prevented.

Yea I would assume bent control arms or control arm brackets...bad deal!

I just gave them a quick once-over. Did not see any cracks in the paint/welds/bends. Probably fine then?

Also, little side note, i have never been in a vehicle with lift, is it normal to feel a bit weird like the body has more wobble when inside it due to the height?

I definitely do not have death wobble, but its like a feeling of the tub being able to sway left/right more than before.

you should be able to fit a track bar in without a jack. no ratchet straps or a helper that could have gave the jeep a good push to align the holes?
