Is it worth getting the JKU Rubicon.

Is it worth getting the JKU Rubicon.
Hello gals and guys, I've been debating whether to jump on the Rubicon wagon since it comes almost fully loaded and probably not have to do any upgrading on it or go for the JKU Sport S and tweak it a little. I live in the Central Florida area where we don't have that much variety of rocks or boulders so I won't be doing that much hard core rock crawling but more mud and trails and maybe some types of rocks. I know that the Rubicon comes with both F/R Dana 44s a better Rock-Trac transfer case and the Sport S come only with the rear Dana 44 and the NV 241 but I eventually will be swapping and selling parts off as tax money comes around lol. I have two boys and the wifey says we need the A/C cause it's to damn hot here in Florida lol. I could use the advice and any info you guys and gals could send my way and sorry for the newbie questions.
Thanks Jose.
P.S. If you guys know of any clubs out in the Central Florida area that would be much appreciated also. I want to get the wifey and kids out in the trails.

I traded in my 2014 altitude edition for a 2015 Rubi, it was a great decision for me. Lockers/front d44/and Tcase make a huge difference. If you are going to pay the money for axles/re-gears/lockers your sport will be better than the Rubi, but I didn't want to mess with all that as the d44 and 4.10 is enough for my needs

Thanks for the info man, I know that probably everyone wants or runs the D60s F/R and the HD transfer cases but just debating is it worth getting a Sport S and upgrading or would the Rubicon be more than sufficient for the trails, muddying and some moderated rock trails since it comes with upgrades already. I'll just keep doing some research and post the pic of the Jeep when I get it in the next couple of months. Thanks again

If you have any doubt...
there is no doubt, get the Rubicon. I did the same thing. I have no real NEED for 4:1 crawl ratio, 4.10 rear, front/rear lockers, but I have everything I wanted.
If you ever need to sell it, selling a Rubicon is a bit easier in my opinion. I sold my built-to-own 2013 JKUR for $900 less than I paid for it (not including ttt). I purchased it for 8% below invoice.
I purchased literally the same exact color spec 2013 JKUR (different VIN) in 2015 for just $1,500 less than I originally paid in 2013! It pissed me off, but they hold some value, certainly better than any other mass-production automobile.
My vote is go with your gut, get what you really want. Best of luck with it!

Thanks for that info and advice doc very much appreciated. I'm on my iPad and the laptop at the same time doing research and I thinking I'm going with the Rubicon JKU. I guess like they say it's better to have and not need it, then to need it and not have it. Lol

The reason I was able to get an awesome deal in 2013 was that I negotiated for 4 months while deployed. It was all over email narrowed down 5 dealers to 2 and started by using TreadLightly 1% discount to determine actual invoice price of the to be built Jeep.
I feel that you have more bargaining ability spec'n the Jeep for delivery than buying off the lot, at least in SC.

So I bought a 2015 black JKU and got the Sport S package. So supposedly when and if the jeep concepts do come out in 2017 like they say. How much do you think I'll lose during a trade in to a new one. Cuz I really liked the new Safari edition and the truck one as well. But overall I just want something with a diesel as all jeepers do.
