Woooooooo-hoooooooooo!!!
I just got home an hour ago and have been in the garage. I pulled the trigger finally, or shall I say, the price finally was right. It is a new leftover 08 Sahara (was the only 4door with a manual within a couple of hours) dual top, trac loc, yada yada yada. Looking at a 2.5BB and 35's to add soon. Again, living in Iowa, not a lot of offroading so it is a DD. BUT, my better half is excited to take a trip west this next spring/summer/or fall.
What a weird feeling to be stalking all of you for well over a year and a half and now become an official member! Oh it feels good not to be a troll anymore.
Anyone want to chime in on a inexpensive 2.5BB that will fit 35's and will keep or improve from the stock ride? And because of this forum, I will be installing it myself. One small step for man, one giant leap for this guy.

Congrats on the new jeep. http://www.northridge4x4.com/proddet...d=TF-001355210 if you get the shock extenders you will keep the stock ride and save a couple dollars.

Pics I can do..............
It came with the heavy duty gas shocks. Any reason to upgrade these when purchasing a 2.5BB?
Also. It has dual tops. Should I not be driving with the soft top hooked up in the back with the hard top on?

mule - you need to remove the soft top. It is on there for shipping convience.
I don't have a BB lift but I can recommend Teraflex as a good brand and good people to work with (Joe).

congrats on the new jeep!
if you want an cheap but good BB, look at Ruff Country's 2" bb. it will let you run 35" and is half the price of teraflex. I went with Teraflex because it was out before RC. i'm a cheapskate so if i had to do it again, i'd go with RC.
