Default Window Tint Question

Does anyone know what tint best matches the factory windows? I have already tried Black Magic film which seems to have a very mirrored look on the outside and Gila film which is blue. It seems to me the factory tint is bronze and I cant seem to figure out which film matches it. Thanks in advance.

Lumar 15% matches about perfect, you can tell there is a slight difference in color if you are standing at the pass. door and looking through the drivers side front and back windows comparitively.

+1. 15% did it for me, it's not exact but really tough to see the difference.

Thanks for the responses. Now my next question, where could I buy Llumar film because from the looks of it, it seems I have to be a pro in order to buy it. I know how to tint, have done many cars, but I don't own or work for an automotive place and to do my two front windows, I dont need a 250' roll.

A while back I helped my father aquire some 3M tint for a boat of his. 3M is very difficult to get, and there's only a few shops locally that use it. Eventually I contacted a window tinting shop nearby that was willing to sell me a roll (60') but they were very hestitant at first.

You're going to have to find a shop that utilizes Llumar and see if they'd be willing to sell you the amount you need.

Check e-bay, I bought some on there a couple of years ago, before I got the jeep.

Check with your local tint shops. Most (at least around here) will sell you tint by the foot, RCJunkie could prob. give you and Idea of what it should run per ft.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm wondering (since I'm in NJ too), how many other NJ Jeepers have had their front windows tinted and not get hassled by township or State LEOs?

Is the 15% just enough to match but not drastically dark enough to get ticketed for?

Just wondering!

Thanks

I think you should just get your intertior all Line'x out and leave the windows...to hell with the elements!
