Will putting a "hybrid" sticker on keep the greenies off your back?

You could do that.
In my city though on all the city buses they have giant leaf decals and the word eco all over it.... a bus..... saving the ecosystem.
If you do that i think the greenies would stay off your back.

I pump a lot of premium into my Jeep, and it is pretty loud when running. It is one of the most anti-green vehicles I have seen in my area.
I have yet to ever have anyone say anything besides "what the heck you got in that thing?" at any gas station. People are pretty nice and polite around here.
But I am a bearded, scruffy, country lookin sort with crazy eyes...so.....maybe that helps.
They don't know I am a mellow and mostly sane computer tech lol.
Alhough if someone actually hassled me and pissed me off, I might waste a gallon of 93 octane and 1/4 inch of rubber right there just to choke them on smoke and fumes.
And when I next see their Prius stuck in a snow bank, laugh at them.
This is still America and we are still free...they are not telling me what to drive.

There are people out there that are actually harrassing others becasue of what they drive? Is this common? I am embarrassd that my state of PA helped vote Obama back in but at least I am not being harrassed by some tree-hugger.
