Will mopar offer steeper gears?

You might be surprised what it could affect... Dealers have been known to blame things like tires and gears for all kinds of things WAY beyond an axel... not to say they are right. The moral is... if you start mod'n be prepared to pay to play even when it comes to warranty.

I agree, some dealers will make you fight them, and though you may be in the right, it can be a real hassel.

just do not tell them
unfortunately like many of you I have WAY too much experience at the dealerships now but you know what with there track record so far,as long as no archived work order to change VSS parameters for speedo they probably wouldn't notice if I had 4.88(as long as not on stock tire/rim)but like said below if you do the mod be prepared to possibly loose potential warranty on that component and others close to it.check around a lot of our local dealers install lift kits and i know have changed gears(would have to be parts able to obtain thru mopar/chrysler current vendors)and take all of your work to the dealer that installed gears, alot of people are getting lifted dodge trucks and jeeps that way in calgary.big market with dealers "pimping" stock units.too bad their parts choices usually suck and they charge too much but they have to be tolerant to they modification cause they did it

3.21 is standard with the 6-speed, but 3.73 is optional. 3.73 is standard with the auto. 4x2/4x4 is a non-factor.
