X2 You will be a lot happy with the 3.6 & if possible get the 373 gears.

Let me get this straight, your WIFE wants to trade in the 08' for a 13'? I would already be at the dealership signing the papers. What are you waiting for? Keep your 33's and get a Teraflex Leveling Kit and they will fit just fine. My rig has 35's with just a leveling kit.

I just traded my '07 Sahara 3.8 in for a '13 Rubi 3.6. I was very surprised with how peppy the 3.6 is compared to the 3.8. Running pretty heavy with 35s and a 3" lift and bumper upgrades. I am very happy with the Pentastar so far.

Same thing happened to me.
I went from an 08 JKUR with 4.10s and the stock 32" tires to a 13 JKUR with 4.10s and the stock 32"tires. Apples to apples, night and day difference! You'll wonder why you waited so long to drive a new one.
Now I'm running 35s and my wife says it feels slightly heavier but still hands down far superior to that 08.
You'll be fine with the 33s. Go test drive one. Or don't if you don't want a new!

Haha yeah trust me I want that new engine, although I haven't driven it yet but I do love my 08.. Can't afford the rubi but I'm thinking just the sport, no more x? Will my warranty be voided if I put the leveling kit on? I'm really swinging towards doing it, I live in Phoenix and driving up to flagstaff is so hard cause of the hills, I floor it and the jeep barely moves

I agree with most of what was said so far. If your jeep is mostly used for highway driving. Put that thing in 4low with a set of new gears and I don't think there's much difference between the 2. If I was only going to drive mostly highway I would get a car. And yes I have both. Just saying.!!!!

When does the 14 get released? I bet if I wait till it gets released I can get a better deal, I'm at the dealership now, they are quoting me 30k for a new 13 JKU sport, hard top, power windows/locks with 3.73 gears, and alpine sound system but no navigation.. It's the first lot we stopped at, drove it and yeah man that thing is snappy stock, I'm sure it will change a little bit with the 33s and the lift

You can order a '14 now. Price compared to invoice is the only real number that matters.
