those rears are cheap if not free and openly available on craigslist. I have gone through 3 of them thus far until I have the cash for a good swing away rear. I got one for free (well, a case of beer) and the other for 20 bucks

Just tell your wife that it is now a safety issue and get an upgrade. I've been using that one for a while now and somehow it is still working. To bad I just parted with a Rubicon stock front and rear bumper.

You should be jumping up and down with excitement for your new tire carrier bumper. How can she say no?

And you MUST match the rear with a front and winch.

I wouldn't even worry about that. Just save a few bucks and get a real bumper. I'm waiting to kill my rear bumper so i can get a new one! lol
