Makes sense,, the actually model #s are JKxx7n the letters for the two x's the first is either a J or a T, J is 4x4, T is 2x4 and the second indicates M for X, P for Sahara or S for Rubicon, and last n is either a 2 or a 4 for 2 door or 4 door. They all have a 7, I don't know why.
My JK is JKJM74 4wd X 4 door.

i'm guessing the 08's have an 8 instead of a 7?
i also heard that there is JK and JKL... like TJ and TJL
