Why JKU sport over other 4x4s?

Everything except the Wrangler has too much body hanging all over the place. I was on a run recently where the Wranglers came through fine but the lone Taco got body damage on all four corners.
Others might argue this, but I think the competition needs to be modified before its as good off-road as a stock Wrangler.
It could depend on what else you need the vehicle for. For example, it might be worth the compromise if you really need a pickup bed.
Bottom line - if you want something that does what a Wrangler can do, get one.

The only problem the wrangler has is lack of power - 2012's are manageable.
I have some beef with the fact that you have to order a Rubicon to get factory lockers. It'd be nice if you could itemize everything for ordering one. I got my Sport for $4-5000 less than a comparable rubicon, so I guess it works out, but it would have been nice to have a 4.11 gear option, maybe throw in a rear locker and a front LSD.
At least now I get the chance to customize mine.

All the above plus the aftermarket supports Jeeps for years after they stop making them. You can literally build a Jeep CJ from scratch (except vin tag) with all new parts. One day the JK will be like that.

...the list goes on, if you don't see it, just go with the decals you'll see on a lot of Jeep... "It's a Jeep thing, you wouldn't understand"

I encourage you to seek similar feedback from Xterra and FJ owners. All three make excellent off-roaders when properly equipped. Everybody will tell you that theirs is the best. It all depends on what you want to use it for. The Jeep is best for many things, but not for everything.
