Ditto. But apparently I have to write more because just "ditto" is too short to post although it does convey my message succinctly and without undue verboseness.

didn't read all the threads, so someone may have already made this point..
I bought a rubicon, even though I haven't yet taken it off road. to me, it is an insurance policy so that if I ever DO have to go off-road, I CAN go offroad...

I'm putting 21" rims with the lowest profile tires that will fit; lowering it down and adding LED's under it that flash yellow and pink!
Just kidding! I am also a work in progress; ordered 3" lift and 35's over 15's yesterday - because when my Jeep had less than 200 miles on it I went up tp Uwharrie trails and from that day on I was hooked, and found out that JEEP = Just Empty Every Pocket
I wheel it and then clean it - I'm OCD on both.

To each their own, but, I agree with Planman that some would love to take them off road but don't know the trails and have nobody to go with. Also, it is a great give back moment to hear the comments from newbies as you've just taken them on their first real trail run.

I mod my JK so I break less things off road. I off road to break things to need more mods. The cycle will hopefully continue because any time spent in the garage is time spent w/o the wife
If I would have met my JK before I met my wife she wouldn't have gotten a ring. The Jeep would have gotten the ring.........and pinion.

I think in the Jeeping world, that percentage of people that "Build for Show" will be a minority. Most of us that mod it, usually will wheel it - but as is always true with anything, there are always exceptions. Like many have said, to each their own.
Looking at the poll numbers, the percentage shows what I was talking about .
