These 2 photos are from the unveiling, the OP photo was a prototype pic, the grill in the actual grand Cherokee is a lot more easier on the eyes. :-)

I think it is a prelude to what is next for the wrangler. More aero dynamic lines for better MPG. I would bet the windshield will be slanted more along with the grill. Less of a flying brick. That is the only way of getting the gas mileage up. No bigger motor except maybe a diesel ( never come here ) will help . So be happy with what we have now , it will be the last of a long line of true looking jeeps.

Porsche NEEDS to sell the Cayenne SUV to keep building the 911 but they have nothing in common.
We Wrangler owners are a bunch of traditionalist but Jeep will never survive making just off-roaders, people need crossovers and they sell, that's a fact. Chrysler would have never survived without Fiat, just another simple fact nobody else wanted Chrysler a couple of years ago, Cerberus would have killed it.
I would take the 2014 Cherokee over the latest POS that Jeep made, or everybody here already forgot the Compass and the Patriot?!
Let's be glad Fiat is helping Jeep become stronger by making good profits.
