Who has oil consumption problems

Well.....in my case I think the brand of oil had something to do with it. I was using Royal Purple for the first 2 years. All was good. But then it started using oil.....more than I thought a fairly new engine should use. Then the price or RP went up even higher so I said forget it. Switched to Mobil 1 and now I have almost 5k on this last oil change and have only used 1/2 qt.
