actually you can use a Hilift under your rear stock bumper.
*to the left or right of the spare tire* If pushed all the way flat against the plastic and the claw is all the way in under the bumper it works great without bending or tweeking the plastic. There is a "real metal bumper under there".
Have done it 3 times with no issues.
