Try West Marine, Bass Pro Shops, or look in truck section at Walmart or Truck/ trailer section at an Academy. Ask for boat trailer winch.

I have a 12 volt winch that you can use a remote or put on a handle and crank it. I've seen them at Costco, Harbor Freight, and Cabella's. But for what you are wanting to do with it you probably just want a boat winch like the one Sears has. Any marine shop should have one tho.
