Whats this life time warrenty you all speak of ????
About to order a new JK Unlimited , I read on here people talking of lifetime powertrain warr. etc.... Is this an American thing ? I talked to the dealers up here and they have never heard of it and look at me like I'm nuts.

This is straight from the Jeep warranty
The Basic Limited Warranty covers your vehicle
only if:
• it was built for sale in the U.S.;
• it’s registered in the U.S.;
• it’s driven mainly in the U.S. or Canada

no big deal in my mind, could you imagine the FIGHT you would have to have with them at say 100K to actually fix it under warranty, I'm sure every dealer out there will claim some kind of abuse or something and not want to cover it.

It still would be nice to have that insurance....but you are right the dealer would just claim abuse due to off-roading!
