Whats with the fluid change interval on the manual vs automatics? Seems strange!

From page 511 of the 2010 Jeep Wrangler Owners manual:

30,000 miles: ❏ Change the manual transmission fluid if using your vehicle for any of the following: trailer
towing, snow plowing, heavy loading, taxi, police, delivery service (commercial service),
off-road, desert operation or more than 50% of your driving is at sustained high speeds
during hot weather, above 90°F (32°C).


I occasionally (seldom, when needed) pull a small utility trailer and my normal commute involves sustained speeds of 55 MPH... I think I'll be anal and do it at 15,000
