KBB and NADA on my 2000 F150 Lariat, 180k miles was listed at $3000-$3500 trade-in, and $4500 private. I negotiated the price on my Jeep, then asked what they would do for trade in on my truck.
I got $6000 for my truck, saved me $3000 in my budget.

I was just offered $19k for my 2011 2 door sport with 8,800 miles, S pkg, power pack, hardtop and side steps toward a 2012 JKU Sport. Dealer is giving me a song and dance about me buying the JKU with an Affiliate deal. Needless to say, I walked.

Dealers around here ask what pay-off is, confirm it and give you $4,000 less, don't care what it is, shape, extras or needs - everyone is $4,000 upside-down when buying a new car!!!

Traded in my 2008 Sahara Unlimited fully loaded, 53k miles, got $23k for it and the dealer swapped all my mods to my new Rubi at no charge. I originally paid $23,900 with 30k on te odometer in 2009.

As my 2007 Jeep Wrangler Sahara has a spun bearing on it, I was curious what I would get for trade in value. I was told it would be worth 15,000 if the engine was good. They then said since its going to cost me 4500 to repair it, that was what they were going to deduct off it so it would be around 10,500. Probably a little bit different circumstance but I thought 15,000 was to low to begin with!
