10W30 Pennzoil Dino with the cheapest Fram filters, changed every 3000 miles faithfully. My last jeep I sold after 198,000 miles with this combination, no repairs on engine AT ALL....

Penzoil 5w20 and Fram filters, every 3-4k. Starting to get a slight tick at start up, which many have resolved with Mopar filters (trying that in about 1k miles)

I know this is an old thread but I just tried to get my Oil changed this weekend at Jiffy Lube and they told me that the only Oil they had that meets the Mopar standard is a synthetic blend and full synthetic. Do you really need to run these or is just straight old 5w-20 ok to run in these motors???
