I would love to look in my owners manual but as you can see from my signature it has still not arrived. I leave for florida the same week I get my jeep and I am trying to have everything ready when it arrives.

Can you take a picture of this stubby and bits and where to buy -

Or take a pic of torx wrenches or a link and where to buy?

And yes I will finish all doubt for you. I DONT ever work on anything, I am just not good at it, I always either break it or loose parts so bare with my dumb questions please.

hey Red - not sure what part of St. Louis you are in (we are in Fenton) but if you have any questions, or need any help with anything, either me or my hubby would be more than happy to help!

if you are going to put a lift on, you can usually find peeps to help over on the mwjt forum for the cost of pizza and refreshments, or if you ever want to take it somehwere for someone to do the mods for you, Axleboy in St. Charles is the place to go.

Stubby is short for a stubby ratchet handle. The bits came from the same place I got the handle Auto Zone. Wal-Mart also has them as does Sears and about any other place with a good selection of tools. All three have el-cheapo sets and slightly more expensive better quality sets so spend the extra money. I spent extra and got a complete set from smaller than I need for the jeep to bigger. I figured sooner or later I will end up using then and in fact I let a buddy borrow them to work on his big rig. If you don't want to go out and buy them I bet Quadratec or just about any Jeep parts dealer that also offers tools has a set as well I know JC Whitney does.
EDIT: BTW On your trip to Florida will you have a place to store the Hardtop once you get there? I can tell you unless you have a softtop to replace it there is no way you will want to drive that far without top.

I had my owner's manual memorized (well, for as good as my old memory is!) well before my Jeep arrived. Go here to download a .pdf. You'll find that it's often easier to use Adobe Acrobat Reader's search feature to find something than to page through a paper copy.

jeep.com/en/owners/manuals/index.html

BTW: We're not supposed to put up hot links to non-sponsor sites, but it's okay to put a link that isn't hot (as I've done above) for most products.

We do not allow hot/clickable links to non-sponsor vendors and manufacturers, but usually we make an exception for jeep.com.

Just one. It's called your owner's manual.

Just use a can opener - once you get the top off you'll never want to put it back on anyway.....
