Default What lift would you suggest

Okay my JK is said to be in town, and I'm ready to get my lift and tires. Anyone got suggestions? Looking to do 3.5" to 4.5" mainly wanting 35" on my Rubi.

Here are some I was hoping to get feedback on.

Skyjacker

Tuff Country

Nth Degree

Rubicon Express

Tereflex

If you can suggest any that I didn't pick up feel free to inform me.

Thanks

If you're only going with 35's you can save yourself some money and get a 3" kit. With what you save vs. the higher lifts you can buy more cool stuff. Good luck.

Out of curiousity, what do most Rubi owners do with the stock tires after they lift and add new shoes?
I have an Ulimited X coming (eventually...) and slapping on a set of nearly new Rubi rubber may be a good first move.
Is anyone here selling? Where should the price be? Is ebay a resourse for this?
Just curious....thanks....

well if you came into the shop I'd sugest either the Full Traction Ultimate or (since it's finaly going to be shipping) the Rubicon Express 3" kits. both companys are good in my book and both kits offer prety much the same components with the exception being the style of rod end used.

It also depends on what kind of wheeling you are planning to do. If you are only planning on some easy-moderate trails then even a 2.5" BB will clear 35s and look great. If you want the extra articulation to get over obstacles then there are a few options I would look at. The full traction lift seems to have great reviews and comes in three different packages depending on your needs. If you are looking for stock handling then the ultimate or at least the premium is a necessity. The economy package is great if you don't have all of the cash up front to lay down on the adjustable arms or you want to mix and match systems. I think the RE lift will also be a great option once that starts shipping. With an extra 1/2" you may even be able to clear 37s if you do a little tube fender work. Two other options that are often skipped over on this forum are the new Nth degree lift, which IMO looks fantastic since it eliminates the rear track bar and replaces it with their innovative "stinger" system... and the Shaffer's lift which utilizes massive thick wall tubing and Rubicon Express style flex joints to achieve I think 3-4" of lift depending on what you order from them. All of these options seem promising. The FT lift has been trail proven by many members of this board including the admin/mods. Little is known about the other lifts because they have yet to be thrown into full production. You really can't go wrong with any of these. Good Luck...

I'm interested in the thread too. But I'm sure you don't want to loose any driveablity, which lift will give you atleast 3 inches and keep your ride like stock. I'm sure having the adjustability will make your ride even closer to stock but I wonder what the fixed arms will ride like.

My tire guy gave me $300 in trade for my 255/70-17 GSA's. Check the For Sale forum here for prices too.
