Unlimited Rubi for invoice + $400
I just paid $31,800 for the following:
Rubicon Unlimited, Rescue Green :toung:
Dual tops
Single Disc + Satellite
Auto Tranny
Power doors
Engine Block heater (Why? Why not?)
Deep tint windews
Side Air Bags
Trailer kit
Delivery fees and other crappy ripoffs
The price sheet looks like he could've typed in anything he wanted, but I compared the #'s to Edmunds.com,and they match.
I told him I was a B.J.'s member, and that "I think that means $400 over". THe sales guy didn't know, but he knew I could get that from the Costco dealer, and that is their program, so he said "OK" and we were done. I've also been promised discounts on warranties, etc. if I buy extras, but I know that's smoke up the ....
And the waiting game begins....

The total price someone pays varies greatly based on the state and city they purchase/live in, on whether they have a trade in, etc. You cannot base any comparison on this amount.
Here in Arizona we have sales taxes. My local sales tax rate is 7.95%, the city next door is 8.5%, if you purchase from a dealer outside the city limits the rate is like 5.0%. But you only pay sales tax on the difference between the Jeep's selling price and the value of your trade in vehicle. So no trade in, you pay over $2,000 is sales tax. If you have a $25,000 value trade in, you pay almost no sales tax. Arizona also has a vehicle license tax based on the value of the vehicle (like $600 on a $28,000 Jeep) where as some states it's based on weight (and like $50).
The numbers that would be VERY USEFUL is what did you pay for the vehicle (e.g. invoice, invoice plus $100, MSRP, etc.) and what other charges did the dealer make you pay (e.g. Dealer Doc Fee, Paint Protection, etc.).
Any government imposed fees (e.g. sales tax, license fees, etc) should be left out or listed separately.
Just my 2 cents...

Of course, what's included in "out the door" varies, as do state tax levies. Here, in OK, you don't pay taxes to the dealership--you have 30 days to pay them to the tag agency.
I paid $24,615 for my Unlimited X. That included a $299 dealer fee for paperwork. I told him he could write anything he wanted on the final invoice, but that any price we negotiated included all dealer fees and charges--no surprises. He understood and we negotiated from that point. Bottom line: The dealer would've sold the vehicle for $26,249.
A couple weeks later I paid an additional $904 to the tag agency for tax, tag and tire fee.
One interesting note: The dealer wanted me to sign a waiver to any rebate (Since I ordered a vehicle, I would have received any rebate upon delivery). I figured since DMC was reporting a 61% gain year-over-year on Wrangler sales in December, that there was no chance of a rebate. So I signed the paper.

unlimited Sahara
Well it looks like people are getting some great deals on jeeps~~~
I've got an Unlimited 4x4 Sahara on order with the following options:
auto
power
sirius
towing
rear lockers (tru-lock)
anti slip
Out the door price $26050
And the dealer is working a deal with me to install my FT lift so I dont defect my warranty. Also cut a deal to purchase my wheels and tires as I'm putting some additional rubber on the road. Just undecided on which tire.
