this is what it means to Me. i have had my Jeep for almost two years
and i love it. still when my wife and i go to the garage to smoke(we dont smoke in the house and yes i do know that i need to quit) she makes fun of me because i just sit there a look at me jeep. I look at the tires, the underneath side, look at the left over mud and such. she just tell me that i'm a dork. which means one thing to me I know it's a Jeep thing and that she will probably never get it. this is kind of a silly story buy you know what I LOVE MY JEEP.

One of the things I like most about driving the JK is the "live" driving experience. (constant input both ways) The only other vehicle I've owned that felt this way was my '69 Mustang. Weird, but a very similar driving experience with the long hood, short rear, and very live steering.

All I can say is;

My wife and daughter think I love my jeep as much as them.

I stare at it,
I think about it alot,
I make plans for our future together,
I constantly think about getting it new shoes,
I constantly think of ways to spend more time together,
Everytime I am in it I get a relaxing feeling, even just sitting in my driveway,

Well what the heck am I saying, maybe I am in love with my jeep too!

It's a jeep thing, for sure!

I am glad that my Jeep allows me to have fun whether I am just headed to the store, on my way to and from work or meeting up with my Jeep Club buddies on the weekends. (SNIP)
This pretty much sums it up for me.

this is my first jeep, and I've only had it for about 6 months. I drove a dodge dakota before that. I find that the jeeps have a character, that you can make them your own, the interaction between man and machine, its not just some mindless people carrier, I have a smile on my face everytime I drive it or even just see it parked in the driveway. Not to mention the whole new world it has opened up to me, great experiances, great new friends, etc. Most other people think i'm odd for "obsessing" over the jeep all the time, but it really is just "a jeep thing" that most dont understand.

When instead of going around things that the nonjeeper would do, and you know you could damage your vehicle, but you risk it anyway, and make every attempt to go over it, even if you have to winch yourself over it, to get that feeling of accomplishment, and watch you rig flex or push it to the limit .......We travel the unbeaten path....nonjeepers do not understand....

The horror on my brother's face when he saw the white stripe along the hood, down both doors, then up the top of my black Jeep. (from a branch on an impromptu trail run)

His wife drives a pearl Escalade.
He drove a chromed-out Avalanche with massive wheels and rubber band tires before he traded it in on a Lexus IS.

To him, that stripe was a bad thing.
To me, the stripe was a badge of honor.
It was a Jeep thing, he didn't understand.

(sadly, he used to understand, before he became a suburbanite metrosexual)
