Default What does "It's A Jeep Thing" mean to you?

I'll start. To me IAJT means: The freedom of knowing that you can go far off the beaten path, maybe spend a few days out there, and come back under your own power. To have pride in the craftsmanship and capability of the vehicle that I drive. To know that I have the best off-road vehicle out there, bar none. To feel the sense of community that comes with driving a Jeep - the waves, and knowing that those who wave are always willing to help. I could go on but I'd like to see what other people think.

I agree completely.....Some folks use the term to minimize the discussion of what they consider minor irritations, and others feel the phrase is thrown at them to minimize their real issues. I'm sorry there are 2 camps of opinion on this. This thread should put it on track- its an excellent outlook for the jeeper lifestyle!

Hate to diminish the thought by putting it on a t-shirt, but wanted to start my 2 1/2 year old grand-daughter out early.

It means:

1. I don't freak at every little sqeak, chime or rattle.
2. I can drive almost anywhere.
3. I can't wait for snow. When my work buddies get stuck in their cars
4. I'm always happy everytime I drive it
5. I'm always thinking of new modification
6. In the summer I take off my top

I don't know if there's any Star Trek fans out there, but to quote Harry Kim (raise glasses for toasting), "To the journey..."

It's not about where you're going, but how you're getting there, and enjoying the experience.

Its more than just a coy statement.

Most people truely don't understand it. The sheer boredam of the average transportation available today is a shame. No one want to interact with what they are driving. They want to drive around and be numb to the experience.

I am glad that my Jeep allows me to have fun whether I am just headed to the store, on my way to and from work or meeting up with my Jeep Club buddys on the weekends. Even my wife wants to drive it everytime she gets the chance, eventhough she has to practically run and jump to get in it.
