Default what do you do when powdercoating starts to peel off

i noticed that my benchmarck elite front winch bumper is starting to peel pretty bad around the fog light holes and it looks like its only going to get worse, im not taking it off and sending it back because i dont think ill get it back in this life time as long as its taking them to ship thier stuff out... so how do you guys deal with the peeling can i dab black paint on it to touch it up?

dabbing black paint will hide it...but it really should be re-powdercoated. Maybe the first powdercoat wasnt prepped well.

Pull it and spray it with bedliner or have Line-X do it. I know Line-X will work right over powder coating.

I guess at this point I'll try to touch it up, I'm not happy about it but if I send it back to them I'm afraid it will take forever to get back because of problems people are having getting thier orders

That's weird. My powder coated rubi rails, ace rock sliders, RR XHD bumper, RR headlight guards and mopar mirror relocation kit are all Line-Xed over their original power coating. No problems. Guess I am just wrong.

Default powder coating problem

use what I use for EVERYTHING... Rockerguard! That stuff covers any metal the first time and sticks on like a mofo. Looks sharp alone and can be painted over.

I use textured flat black Rustoleum to hit all the knicks an scrapes. If it ever gets bad enough I'll try something more extreme.
