Default What do do with a stock 3.8 and tranny?

Hi Guys.
I don't know if this post is in the right place (feel free to move it if it's not).
There are a lot of people installing Hemi's in their wranglers. Suprisingly, there are exactly the same number of 3.8 liter engines laying around on shop floors! :-)
I'm sure this has been discussed, but what could a person do with a 3.8 engine?
They're pretty inexpensive.

I would think a lot of things are possible with the motor and tranny intact.

Maybe buy a ton of DOM, and an Atlas, and some one ton drivelines, some junkyard axles, and random parts to build a buggy for rocks only

Then again, it could be any motor that made me love the idea of that

There is a current engine build thread on the first page of the modified section. Haven't seen any transmission build threads anywhere, probably no aftermarket support on them?

Wait until someone posts "I just hydrolocked and my whole engine is F'ed"

Then sell them your old one for a good deal and earn some karma points

Hemi motors are awesome, but you can build a 3.8 to do alot, and for alot cheaper. You could build a good 3.8 for about 7 grand. Ripp makes great headers and of course their new SC. They could fill you in on how to get the most out of the 3.8.

Default 3.8

You could take them to the next mini van swap meet and sale.

After last year, my dad and I were talking about putting it in a snow blower... no more underpowered snowblowers!
