What to do?
#11
2 doors are my personal preference. I am old school when it comes to the JEEP. On my 3rd Wrangler and they have all been flame red. 2 doors are the best. Just get a bolt on cargo cage to haul your equipment. 4 doors are not that much bigger for cargo to justify the added expense.

Since it will take you some time to mod out the JKU, put some internal values on what the 4dr provides you over the 2dr vs the time your 4dr would have to remain stock. If you think 12/18 months is what it would take to start modding the new one, it that really too long for you to wait if that extra set of doors fits your needs? Since you mentioned a Rubi model, it's not like they can't do anything offroad stock. Best wishes on the decision!

What would tires and a lift do to change the wheel base of a JKU?
Unless you are on a very tight trail, I don't see the difference.

It's all a trade-off. Everything's a trade-off. You can't escape compromise. The best thing you can do is brainwash yourself into thinking your current compromises are what make you happy.
