What is this bed extender thing and where do I get one?
I could really use this truck bed type extension thing!!!

does it slide out or does it just stick out? Looks like it just sticks out....

You would probably have to be pretty cautious about how you loaded that thing, heavy items near the front inside the Jeep light stuff to the back. I'm not sure having much weight hanging that far back past the rear axel is a good thing. Seems like a good way to collapse the rear suspension, and have enough front end lift to make steering pretty questionable at any sort of speed.
Light weigh items loaded to the back might not have to much effect.
Personally, I would look into roof racks or hitch racks if you aren't wanting a trailer.

I believe it's called the "Jeep Butt Ugly Trash Hauler - special Beverly Hillbillies Extended Edition" or Jugly for short. You can try googling it.
