I had that happen to mine too! Fortunately it was fixed at the dealer with no problems and it's been good for the 3000 miles since.

I've taken quite a few rocks to the shield, including one so loud and large I thought it was coming through. No chips or cracks yet.
I am satisfied with the construction of my windshield.

Flat windshield, direct hit, not good.

You could look at my old YJ windshield in a cross way and it would crack

i have not had any problems with my windshield yet how ever i have not had the best luck on any other vehicle i got. when i got my yukon i left the lot got more than half way home and a rock flew up and chipped the windshield. i was PISSED. not even an hour old and the windshield had a crack already.
