It's like that here in Arizona too. There are so many of them, many people just gave up waving.

I wave at all jeeps, most of the time I get a wave back. It seems like where there are a lot more jeeps, more people know to wave

Not too many wave in my neck of the woods. They are too busy looking cool or drinking a latte, or applying make up or eating a hamburger or reloading their gun. I have stopped initiating the wave unless it is someone I have seen wave back in the past or they have Project JK stickers.

Yep! In SoCal the natives think you might be waving a gun or you want something from them.

Just keep waving, I got a bunch of the soccer moms trained now, almost everyone to and from work will wave at me now
There was this one guy in a TJ that would never wave, he even got to the point of giving me the finger when I did wave at him. After I got lifted and my tires, he was turning the corner and initiated the wave, then got a stupid look on his face when he realized he had waved at a JK
now he waves everyday and just smiles

2 things I noticed:

1. JK owners wave to other JK owners. Other Wrangler owners (TJ, YJ, etc) won't wave to JK owners.

2. Don't bother to wave at a woman driving a JK, they're oblivious to the "jeep wave"
