The waiting has begun...Smittybilt doors ordered
#21
I installed my doors yesterday as well,, I too have noticed that the doors are a little tough to open, the wife wasn't too happy but i figured out an easy way to open the doors, from the inside you have to tug on the door to release some of the tension created by the rubber bumpstop, doing this makes the handle move quite easily. From the outside i found that if you give the door a hipcheck while releasing the lever it opens easily too. I found that i was missing the 2 straps for the doors so i made up a couple for now with some rope and a couple of hogrings. I'll be giving Smittybilt a call in the morning about the straps.

On your Passenger Door, wrap a piece of Electrical Tape on the Jeep's Door Striker, where the Door Latches to. This should stop any rattling you have. This is a common problem with Tube Doors in general.
Cool lookin' Doors!
Best of Luck!
Cheers!
