I see a lot of people use tube doors.. ive always wondered their purpose rather than going doorless?

soft doors keep out most of the rain.. those are open... are they mainly just to keep equipment and such from falling out of the jeep?

they don't really serve that much of a purpose but just give you a different type of door IMO.
they do help keep stuff in.

Look what finally showed up

They were package pretty well, but during shipping things did move around and some of the powder coat ended up getting rubbed off.

it's nice to have all four doors on.

I really like the look of the doors. i kind of don't like the latch release though. the doors can be hard to open sometimes. I think i have things adjusted were it will be better and i'm hoping that the latches just needs to be "broken in". i'm not sure what my wife is going to think when she can't open the door. so, i guess time will only tell.

Would you mind snapping a picture or two of the latch area from the inside with the doors closed? I think they look pretty nice from the outside, but I'm curious how they look from inside the ride.

It's illegal to go doorless here. i plan on getting a set since a tube door is technically a door. Plus they'll help keep stuff in and make my nervous wife feel a little more at ease.

here ya go.

i'm not really sure if its the doors or just me that make them a bit tough on opening sometimes. my rear doors open just fine without any trouble. so, i will have to try to adjust the doors and see if it improves. i do have to call smittybilt on monday though because my passenger door hinge rattles really bad. i installed the rubber stopper they provided to see if that would help. it helped a little and dampened the rattle, but a good bump still makes it rattle nicely. my other three doors are great with no rattle and they don't even have the rubber stopper on them. i'll see what they have to say.

Cool! Thanks. I had no clue what the latch handle/mechanism would look like. I actually like that, simple and clean.

i like the latch too and i found out why my door is so hard to open. my driver door was made just a taf too long or the latch harness was welded to a little too far towards the rear of the vehicle. so, my hook on the door frame is up against the door and its creating a groove in the latch in the door. and like said before, the passenger side is super loose and rattles. the rear doors are perfect. I;m thinking the doors didn't quite get the TLC they needed when made because smittybilt had them back ordered for so long. so, i will make some phone calls tomorrow and see what i can get done. the workmanship is slight shoty and hope smittybilt will do something about it. here is a picture of what i was talking about. you can see the groove being made on the right side of the latch.
