I'm going to have to say this is pretty ugly, I don't care for a breakable moving part (the joint will give way sooner or later) and it's just wierd looking attaching on top of the hood

This design is a disappointment. Not only is it an eyesore, but will hinder the opening and closing of the hood in cold weather.

IMO I prefer RR. But each one has their pros. They all get the job done,

RR all the way. When and if i end up doing a snorkel down the road it will be from RR. This one is just to out there and Ugly. The RR is in a way hidden and molded into the body to make it look like it is part of the jeep to begin with.

It's funny that so many of you like the river raider snorkle. I found it to look like a lot more work for what you get out of it. That and it's metal. It won't last on my Jeep in the woods. The AEV seems like the best functioning one. And they are supposed to have an option to not use the pre-filter.

And you can take the AEV off completely and run stock if so desired. They do have a "ram air" inlet out (or soon to be) as well.

i agree, i dont like it either, not the best i've seen, i will stick with the aev type and pick up the ram air cap later.
