Very difficult to hold back purchase.
I check a few things daily, a few JK forums, www.jeep.com and my local dealer for pricing and availability.
Today I spotted an Unlimited JK, natural green pearl, 17 inch wheels, automatic, power locks, windows, remote, alarm, hitch, limited slip rear and connectivity group. List price $31,250, discount $6875 for a sale price of $24,375.
I know if I wait for a 2012, I won't see a discount like that till next summer about this time and then, probably not that much of a discount because of the engine/trans change. On the other hand, I will get the more powerful motor and 5 speed trans if I wait. Also, the car will be 1 year newer when it comes time to resell.
Tough call and I am not sure what to do. My best instincts tell me to wait... I also have to consider unloading a car, either at the dealer for a easy sell, or via private party to get a few more dollars.

Your gut instinct.
If the dollar difference won't be the deciding factor, I'd wait. They'll still be selling the remaining 2011's after the 2012's roll out. Compare them, then make the decision.

The deals will get better, not worse, the supply will get worse and I will be able to check out the actual drive-ability differences between the two model years. I should wait... With my luck, the 2012 will be no big improvement over the 2011 and they will be out of 2011's.
