Jeeps aren't collectible vehicles. It will be worth 5K at most. Maybe 10K to that one collector you would never find.

Default Just get the Jeep you want and drive it!

It wont' be worth anything more than any other JK a half a century from now. Stickers and silly emblems don't necessarily make a vehicle desirable.

1980 Jeep CJ-7 Jamboree Edition Jeeps don't have any special resale value over a "non-stickered" 1980 CJ-7, neither do twenty year old Islander and Sahara YJ's. Good condition is probably much more important.

If you want the Jeep get it but don't plan on it being your future "retirement vehicle".

Enjoy your Jeep! That's the bottom line.

So if you have a Levi's edition Jeep sitting in your garage you can't retire early?

Jeeps are not bought to be pampered. If you want something to put in a garage for 50 years as a collectors item, think of something that will not exisit in 50 years....like a collection of good credit reports.

I can promise you my Jeep wont last for 50 years . And chances are 50 years from now people wont know what the hell COD is. Either that or it will be illegal to drive a vehicle that gets under 30 mpg.

Who knows, you may get around 100K for a vehicle like that, but then it may end up like the show about a guy who had himself put into a cryogenic tube, and awoke 50 years later. When he called the investment company, he found his investments had become 1000 times their original worth, then as he hung up the operator got on the phone and told him that $10,986.00 would be deducted from his account for the call.
Your next stop, The Twilight Zone.
