If you weren't looking at half doors, I would say get the 2009 because the 07s and 08s leak all the time. That won't matter with the half doors, either will leak all the time anyway.

I am toying with similar decisions with the check from my 07 JK lemon. Leaning towards the TJ at the moment. I loved my last one.

Option 2 - the 2008 JK. You could probably get them to come down even more if you do the deal before the end of the year.

Please don't spread misinformation. This is not true - leaking JKs are isolated incidents and the majority of JKs are major problem free.

Regarding the OP - If you want an unbiased opinion, you came to the wrong forum. My biased opinion, based on the options you gave, would be to get the TJ. That is a rip for both those X models. I'd get a better deal on a JK or go with the TJ.

Like others have said go with the '08, you should be able to get one hell of a deal on it now before then end of the year and a JK v. a TJ is no comparison....you won't have any regrets!

And for the record no leaks here either.....

Go with the 2008. I think it's a very good deal on the 08.

I know there is a recession going on and there might be some better incentives, but Edmund's says the dealer invoice is 23,448 and their TMV is 21,521.

Anybody out there get a better deal and by how much?
