Default Used jeep, implementing 5 tire rotation

Bought my Jeep at the beginning of the month with a bit over 15k miles. It was a lease vehicle before I got it, so clearly gently used. Now I drive a lot and it's a bit over 17k already, and I'm realizing that the spare doesn't have any tread wear. My Sport just has stock 16" steel wheels and presumably OEM tires, which show some wear but nothing extreme.

Is it too late to rotate the spare in and start a 5-wheel rotation?

Certainly is no problem if you want to rotate in the spare. It not like stock tires change diameters by any significant amount as they wear. Sometimes mud tires can wear down quite a bit. But , you're fine to swap your spare.

Good enough for me. I thought it'd probably be fine, but I'm new to 4wd and frankly figuring this all out for the first time.
