The Ultimate Factory Optioned Rubicon "what if they built it?" Poll
I'm sure there are posts regarding this, but I was thinking and curious what everyone would think the MSRP price should or might be and if you'd buy a JK Rubicon with the following: (2 or 4 dr, either one)
* Dana 60 axles front/rear w/some form of decent lockers.
* HEMI engine (size not important, pretty much any HEMI size would be an improvement).
* Even heavier-duty Transfer-Case (not sure the standard Rubi T-Case would be sufficient).
* Heavier duty driveshafts front/rear with improved U-joints.
* Guess it'd have to have a heavy duty transmission (I'm sure they could do a HD Manual as well as an HD Auto).
* Standard 4" lift system built by Chrysler.
Pretty much it, provide your feedback, dream-sheet of parts and what you think it'd sell for. Don't base it on the custom work being done presently, I don't think it'd be a good benchmark to work from because we all know Chrysler wouldn't have an MSRP that high.

Almost 45% think the $45k range, that sounds about right, maybe Chrysler will get desperate with their sales, although it's far from going green and they'll probably never do it.

So maybe they will dump all the other HEMIs in their line to be green? Nah, they should just add the hemi option.

Maybe they could add a supercharger and one of them fancy plastic hood see-through thingys like Chevy did, and up the price to $100,000

Agreed, I can see $50k. would be nice to order a Rubi w/D44's and the smaller HEMI for $40k...and if you wanted D60's and all the other kooky stuff I listed then $50k+ would easily come into play. Here's the deal though, for years and years Jeep owners bugged Chrysler to come out with a tougher Jeep, hence the TJ Rubi came out, everyone jumped on the "they listened to us finally" bandwagon and now we have tough Rubi's and want even tougher, it will take years for them to come around and a BIG "if" they even would. Afterall Jeeps just aren't flagship automobiles like a Shelby GT 500 (waste of money @$55k my personal opinion for a mere 445rwhp) and then the ZR1 @ an estimated $110k+ for 600rwhp...cars like that carry some weight when it comes to the higher end vehicle designs, options and the willingness for manufacturers to build them.

Since the fully optioned Rubi is $35,000 I figure since Jeep is able to use an OEM part and do it for much less than the average person, and they aren't putting in any parts we would be taking off it could be reasonable.
I figure;
$1,000 for Dana 60 (rear only, probably not needed up front)
$3,000 for Hemi
$2,000 for suspension & 35" tires
$1,000 for new driveshafts
$1,000 for Atlas style transfer case
$1,000 for upgraded lockers
