I ordered a set from Jeeptubes.com. They are basically a DIY, they just send bare tubes that are already bent. They don;t have a JK specific set yet, but based on my early test fits I can use what they sent to create front or back doors. Now for cost, they were $65 for a pair, but you still need to buy the latches, hinges, paint, and if you want any mesh or padding. Also, if you don;t weld you'll need to pay someone to weld it all together. I expect my cost when all is said & done, will be in the $175-$200 range, so $250 really is not that bad a cost. Now if you have the skill to bend steel to a specific shape and weld, then you have save a lot off the cost.
Prices with shipping
Steel Tubes - $91
latches - $70 (same as you'll find on the Bestop tube doors)
extra material (i.e. for hinges) - ~$10
mesh and or padding - ~10 (also provided you have the ability to sew)

Well,, 400 miles is low,, I get around town 19.6 mpg(using a caculator not the dash) so that would be 490 miles.. and on the highway I get close to 25 if I dont run over 80 mph..so that would be about 625 miles.. or you could go down to the bad part of town and get 20 crack whores..
Pick up an Ipod and fill it up with music for wheeling,, or but a good CB and antenna..

Mfalcon I believe nailed it
"Regardless of what they cost to make a good business person (PC) is going to try and sell their product for the highest price the market will allow."
Although oil prices have a little to do with it, its more about marketing, and supply and demand.
If nobody was willing to pay $300 bucks they would be cheaper, until it got to the point they couldnt make enough money to justify the cost in building, and selling them.
Keep in mind these guys arent mass producing these, but there not hand building each individual set either. They buy the material in mass and use the same jigs all day long.
I personally wouldnt pay that price when I can do it myself for less, but I can see how others could and would easily pay that price. Because of that im sure we will never see a cheap set out there.

I'm a little sick of gas prices being blamed every time a company wants to raise the prices on something. I will agree with the supply and demand argument. ::Grumble Grumble::

Those are the warrior products doors. Most of the after market vendors sponsors on here sell them. They go for $250 a set (front or rear), so $500 total if you have an unlimited.
